Editor Rachel attends the centrepiece of the British social calendar and takes vintage to Ascot…

Royal Ascot is most certainly the centrepiece of the British social calendar. But at an event where fashion and style is discussed more than the races, it really is the event to showcase your style. Wearing a dress to such an occasion can leave the wearer
filled with dread. What if someone else is wearing the same dress!?

There are only two solutions to this issue. Have a dress made, or do exactly what all vintage loving girls would do – find the perfect vintage outfit!

Editor Rachel did just that! With a beautiful silver 60s dress, reminiscent of the Space Age, and silver turban, Rachel stood out with her simple, classic vintage style.

“I didn’t want to follow the norm, and wear a large hat. I wanted to be individual and comfortable. There is nothing worse than worrying about your outfit all day. I was able to sit back and relax and take in the atmosphere. I took vintage to Ascot… in my own way.”
