Dragoon Publishing, the team responsible for Vintage Life magazine, was presented with the Network She Foundation International Women’s Day Awards 2015, Business of the Year award in a stunning black tie event at the Crowne Plaza in Chester. Dragoon Publishing were nominated for the award due to the success of Vintage Life Magazine’s tremendous social media following, its growing sales in a declining market, and the amount of hard work that the team, most of which are female, put in to making the product as high quality as it is.
The number of businesses shortlisted for the final made a total of four, with Dragoon Publishing winning and beating some fierce and well respected competition in the process.
The evening began with a champagne reception and was followed by a delicious four course meal. The awards ceremony then took place, honouring young women in business, Business Woman of the Year, New Business of the Year and more. The NetworkShe Awards were launched in 2008 and have become recognised as the platform to celebrate the success of women who mean business. The awards are also aimed at recognising and rewarding the inspiring achievements of women across the UK who have succeeded, and continue to succeed, in their chosen field.
Editor of Vintage Life, Rachel Egglestone-Evans said:
“We can’t believe we have won the Network She Business of the Year award against such stiff competition! It just shows how all of our hard work is paying off and I’m honoured that our achievements have been recognised and have been deemed worthy of winning.”
