My first fundraising event was one that I organised myself, it was a fun run raising money for Spinal Research in aid of my dad who I am a part time carer for. I was involved in a car accident the day before but I still went ahead with the fun run the next day as raising money for charity was more important. As the carnival queen of my local town (Bridgnorth) I took part as the queen of hearts to raise money for a local charity raising funds for children. I also took part in the Telford Christmas carol evening raising money for the mayor of Telford’s chosen charities Women’s Aid & Refuge where we raised an amazing £600. I also organised a bake sale to raise more funds for the Mayors charities where I managed to raise £78. I have done previous fundraising for Beauty with a Purpose the chosen charity for Miss England, when I took part in Miss Shropshire, Miss Birmingham and Miss Black Country which is where I won my Miss Publicity title. I aim to raise more money for charity this year for Make a Wish, Women’s Aid, Refuge and Spinal Research.
